Lee Oskar Harmonicas System now includes 46 different harmonicas in four models and multiple keys, including new lower keys!
Inspired by popular demand, Lee Oskar Harmonicas announces a new series of the Lee Oskar Harmonicas Major Diatonic model in lower keys, rolled out in Q4 2018 and Q1 2019, in the keys of Low D, Low E and Low F#. These new lower key harmonicas feature the same exceptional quality and design that the global brand is known for across the entire Lee Oskar Harmonicas system, which has been manufactured in collaboration with Tombo Mfg. of Japan since 1983. These new Lee Oskar harps are uniformly priced with all Lee Oskar Harmonicas in the entire system, which now includes a grand total of 46 different harmonicas in four different models, offered in the standard harmonica tuning and three altered tunings in multiple keys as follows:
- Major Diatonic (Orange Label)—This is the standard tuning for playing FOLK & COUNTRY, using 1st position (Straight harp) and BLUES, ROCK, POP & COUNTRY using 2nd position (Cross Harp), available in 17 Keys (Listed low to high): Lo D (Coming Soon), Lo E (Available Now) , Lo F, Lo F# (Available Now) G, Ab, A, Bb, B, C, Db, D, Eb, E, F, F#, Hi G
- The Melody Maker™ (Blue Label)—Our model featuring three altered notes, this harmonica is great for playing Major scale melodies in 2nd Position (Cross Harp): R&B, COUNTRY, REGGAE, POP, JAZZ, LATIN, AFRO, CLAVE, SKA (Not recommended for BLUES). This harmonica is available in 5 Keys (Listed low to high): C, D, E, G, A
- The Natural Minor (Green Label), our model with five altered notes, is a natural choice for playing minor music in 2nd Position (Cross Harp): MINOR BLUES, REGGAE, SKA, LATIN, FUNK, R&B, HIP HOP. This model, with an altered tuning, is available in 12 Keys (Listed low to high): Dm, Ebm, Em, Fm, F#m, Gm, Abm, Am, Bbm, Bm, Cm, Dbm
- The Harmonic Minor (Yellow Label), our model with five altered notes, is ideal for playing International Ethnic Folk Music. Typically played in 1st Position (Straight Harp): EASTERN EUROPEAN, GYPSY, YIDDISH, ASIAN, TANGO, REGGAE. This model is available in 12 Keys (Listed low to high): Gm, Abm, Am, Bbm, Bm, Cm, Dbm, Dm, Ebm, Em, Fm, F#m
