Lee Oskar Rallies Support For the Historic Everett Theatre With a Benefit Concert on March 6th

(February 26, 2020, Everett) – Music legend, harmonica manufacturer and longtime Everett resident Lee Oskar announces a special benefit concert to help save the Historic Everett Theatre a local landmark that has richly served the community with outstanding arts programming since 1901. However, in recent times, the Theatre has been facing financial struggles and Oskar wants to join the community to help save this icon for years of continued enjoyment.

This musical evening of live jazz and blues will take place on Friday, March 6 from 7:00-10 pm in the Historic Everett Theatre, featuring Lee Oskar & Friends, including Lee on the harmonica with band members Alex Mortland on guitar, Dean Schmidt on bass, Andrew Cloutier on drums, Denali Williams on percussion, Ed Weber on keys and Darian Asplund on saxophone.

Local young musicians from the School of Rock—Lynnwood will perform as the benefit’s opening act, beginning at 7:15 pm.

Lee Oskar Harmonicas is sponsoring the concert so that 100% of the proceeds from the evening will go toward supporting the continuation of the Historic Everett Theatre.

In the words of Lee Oskar, “It’s time for the community to step up and support this wonderful and iconic theatre, which has given so much to so many. We need the arts in our community and we need to do our part to help keep the Historic Everett Theatre alive and thriving.”

Details: A benefit concert by Lee Oskar & Friends on March 6 at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. Doors open at 7 pm, School of Rock (Lynnwood) performs at 7:15, Lee Oskar & Friends at 8 pm and Raffle at 9:50 pm. Raffle tickets sold at the door for $10 per ticket for a drawing for Lee Oskar Harmonicas & School of Rock Music Pack: Any Lee Oskar Harmonica Tuning in the Key of their choice, with engraved signature of Lee Oskar, as well as a Lee Oskar Harmonica Soft Case, T-shirt, CD and back pack and miscellaneous items donated by the School of Rock.
